The Unveiling of Secrets

Today is a very special day for us all here at Realmac as we're finally able to reveal a few details about RapidWeaver 4. Of course, we're not announcing the final release of version 4 as that is still a little way off. However, as we approach the release of a first private beta we decided it was time to lift the veil of secrecy on the year-long development of RapidWeaver 4.

Earlier this week, we allowed the first public build of RapidWeaver to leave Realmac HQ - and let Ars Technica's David Chartier take an exclusive first-look at just some of the new features in RapidWeaver 4.

Of course, it would be cruel to offer up a preview of RapidWeaver 4.0, yet not allow users to apply to beta-test it! So, we're also pleased to announce that we're looking for a few thrill-seekers ready to put the application through its paces in our private beta test which will start later this month. All the details for this can be found within the Ars Technica post.

The open ‘XML Bundle’ file format in RapidWeaver 4 is a feature we’re really excited to be able to offer our users and other developers. If you’re a developer interested in exploring uses for the file format, please get in touch with us for further information.

As we get closer to the final launch of RapidWeaver 4, we’ll be sharing a few more details with you - so stay tuned, and if you like what you see of RapidWeaver 4, be sure to Digg it!
