        <p>Hello all…
</p>
<p>
I’m trying to find out how I can force all the links on a specific page to be a specific color.&nbsp; The question arises because the “background color”, “content background color”, and “highlight color” I have chosen in the page inspector all need to be color “000000”.&nbsp; Therefore, when I create a link in my sidebar, for example, the text with that link disappears when viewed in preview.&nbsp; (This makes sense because my “highlight color” is the same as the “background").&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
So I&#8217;m trying to force my link color to be different than what the highlight color for a theme is.
</p>
<p>
I tried to give the link a class using the method described below (but that didn’t work):

<p>
<a href="http://www.realmacsoftware.com/forums/index.php/forums/viewthread/10541/">http://www.realmacsoftware.com/forums/index.php/forums/viewthread/10541/</a>
</p>
<p>
Any ideas are appreciated.

<p>
I am using the theme Realmac Software ‘06

Bijvoorbaat dank!

        <p>Just finished my first website, perenniagardendesign.com . Looks good and acts well, except for on (of course) my client&#8217;s pc laptop. Many graphic elements are not showing on screen&#8230; the header is gone, the sidebar navigation buttons are gone, photos in the content window are working, but type sizes are erratic and usually oversized. I just met with her and determined that it&#8217;s not the site that&#8217;s messed up – we opened a few links from a CSS gallery site and got the same results. I thought we could blame the browser, but it&#8217;s IE7, and a pc desktop in the same room was running the site perfectly.
</p>
<p>
I haven&#8217;t come up with a clue after Google searching for a while. Seems like it should be a software problem, although the text size and font settings in the browser were good and I don&#8217;t know about any settings that would selectively remove some graphics but not others like is happening here.
</p>
<p>
Has anyone seen anything like this before?

        <p>Could some moderators or developers or RW power users have a think about any holes in the logic of what I am proposing, and point out any issues I might encounter, hopefully with solutions.
</p>
<p>
Basically, I have about 1500 posts on my blog spread mainly between about 7 pages. RW is struggling to cope with the &#8220;architecture&#8221; of having everything set up like this.
</p>
<p>
Rather than dump RW for Wordpress, I was thinking of creating a portal front page, and creating 7 new mini sites. I would then populate the mini sites with the content that is currently occupying my 7 most overloaded pages on the main site!!
</p>
<p>
 This strategy would leave my current site with 7 pages each with 250 summaries, all linking to the full articles on the external mini sites. I would also have a PORTAL HOMEPAGE that was a collation of summaries, headlines, RSS feeds - more like a magazine than a blog.
</p>
<p>
A couple of questions.
</p>
<p>
<b>Will this tactic lighten the load on RW?</b>
<br />
The 7 big pages on the current site would contain text summaries only, so I am hoping that RW will be able to save, export and publish each of those 7 big pages in a fraction of the current time. Also the mini sites will be quite skinny, with say 250 posts spread over 7 pages. Is this hope for speedier processing logical? Or is it file numbers rather than file size that dictate how quickly RW processes the content? And does mahaging several RW documents simultaneously just ramp up RAM usage worse than ever?
</p>
<p>
<b>What would you build the portal page with?</b>
<br />
Is a blog page the only option because of RSS capabilities, or would a style page or other plug in page style be a good ambassador for the site? Or is there a better tool to use at the front end of the blog.
</p>
<p>
<b>PHP</b> How do I go about making sure the current site and the new mini sites have fully coordinated sidebars and easy one click sitewide update options.
</p>
<p>
Is there an alternative to RSS feed displays or other smart ways of auto grabbing content from within my site and displaying it on the portal page without giving the impression of a scraper page?
</p>
<p>
IS RMS or a 3rd party developer ever likely to develop a plug in so that RW can be exported to a mother of all CMS in the next few years?
</p>
<p>
Should I just forget RW and spend the upcoming time and effort transferring over to Wordpress MU or something similar?
</p>
<p>
Thanks for any input.

        <p>Hi Folks,
<br />
I feel a bit dumb but have to find an answer to this question&#8230;
<br />
I used RW to make a site last year and hosted it via my .mac account and set forwarding options so that my domain address showed up in browser rather than the long .mac user address.
<br />
Here is the address-
<br />
<a href="http://www.sooper8.co.uk">http://www.sooper8.co.uk</a> (If you go to this site now you see the 123 reg page that says I haven&#8217;t got a valid index page)
<br />
Then I bought a space at 123 reg to host it and things went wrong.
<br />
I got a bit out of my league and don&#8217;t know where I went wrong....but basically the site can be found here
<br />
<a href="http://www.sooper8.co.uk/index/">http://www.sooper8.co.uk/index/</a>
<br />
But it wont work without the /index bit.How can I get just <a href="http://www.sooper8.co.uk">http://www.sooper8.co.uk</a> be the first page anyone hits?
<br />
So what I can&#8217;t figure out is what setting/tab/tick box I have changed or forgotten to click. Is it within RW or on my web provider?
<br />
Any help appreciated
<br />
Many thanks
<br />
Jem
