Just to be sure I tried running stuff without Socialite running and had no issues. Basically I get the pinwheel of death, try to do force quit and all my apps say not responding. Anyone else having this issue? I’m also not sure if the issue is caused by another app while running Socialite.

2. I’ll block or unfollow someone and they continue to show up on my timeline. And when I try and block or unfollow them using Socialite I’ll get an error saying they’re not my friend or that I’m not following them but for some reason they’re still on my timeline…

For now I think I’m going back to Seesmic until these things are done away with.

Things seem to be moving in a very positive direction with Socialite - most of my ongoing issues have been resolved, and I’m enjoying having a lot more control over keeping up with different sites automatically.

However, in the lastest release, the longer refresh times were deleted for some reason. I use Socialite for RSS, Facebook, and Flickr, and in order to maintain some productivity, I had gradually moved my refresh time up to 6 hours - I just don’t need updates more often on the information I get from those sources (I just run Tweetie for Twitter, as that needs to be more immediate, and I prefer to keep Twitter separate). Now the max auto refresh time is only one hour, which has me contemplating just going to manual refresh - auto with longer refresh times would be preferrable.

Any chance we can get the longer settings put back in?

Hi Guys

We’ve been investigating reports that the Facebook Status Update container in Socialite isn’t working. Currently, the Facebook API this feature requires is simply not responding (to any application requesting the information) and as such Socialite isn’t able to download status updates.

We’ve verified this through setting up an entirely new API key that we’ve been testing internally - as well as checking whether other apps such as Tweetdeck are able to connect to Facebook (they’re not). We’re in the process of contacting Facebook about this, and as soon as we know more we will of course let you know.

Thanks for your patience with this matter: I appreciate it’s highly infuriating, however we’re unable to work around a broken Facebook API. As soon as we know more, we’ll post here.

Kind Regards,

Nik

I use the RSS service in Socialite to subscribe to a number of LiveJournals (which require authorization that Google Reader still does not support).

I recently changed my password on livejournal.com, and I need to change the password I entered into Socialite when I first subscribed to the feed. I can’t figure out where the credentials are stored.
