Very impressive, Robbie!  You clearly put a lot of work into this theme and I’m sure it will do really well for you.  Keep it up!  Laugh

Amazing theme! I might have to use it for a redesign of my school’s site: http://hillcrest.dvusd.org (Home of the Falcons!)

The header area would be a great place to put in a slideshow of “student life” at our school.

Hi Robbie,

congrats to this great new theme release; will buy it today for sure! Smile

I have two questions:
– Is there an option to generally turn off the animation of the sidebar menu?
– Is there an issue with the headings on the “Extra Content” page? Seems the padding is lost somehow:

Hi Robbie

Great theme! I have one (or two) suggestions:

- I love that the theme has room for extra content. But I’d like to see the main content area appear in a seperate box. Adding a extra content will add new boxes before and after the main content area. Does this make sense? Smile Have a look at the Creamux theme by seydesign.com here -> http://showcase.seydesign.com/Creamux/

- Also it would be really nice to have an option between sub-pages being displayed as buttons in the side bar and pull down menues as seen in the D-scribe theme by rapid-refills.com -> http://www.rapid-refills.com/d_scribe/

Best regards,

Søren

There seem to be some bugs that are hard to work out.

When I put in my own image it was tiled and nothing I could do could change that

When I put in my logo the entire nav bar moved down into the content area

Hi Robbie,

Congrats on the new theme, just bought it to add to all your others that i have in my theme drawer.
You seem to use the the word awesome quite a lot in your day to day language, and this time your not wrong. this really is an AWESOME theme.

Just been over to look at all the video tuts, and the “Blocks header design with Pluskit” is just such a beautiful addition, and so simple for the us RW user’s.

Going off to play with all the really cool features, (whoops, now i’m starting to speak like you).

Great, Great theme, thanks.

All the best

Mike

By the way Robbie, what font is this???? - see image

Just a quick question.
For a relative new learner, how difficult is it to turn off the secondary nav effects?
Primarily the ‘swoosh’ (the one where the sidebar/secondary nav buttons move right to left on a succession ?) effect when you go to a new page.
I love this theme visually and I just don’t have it in me for moving effects.
Thanx

By the way Robbie, what font is this???? - see image

The font is “Bank Gothic Medium 75” with a heavy drop shadow

There seem to be some bugs that are hard to work out.

Heya rick, I have answered your questions in my support forum, lemme know over there if all is well!

@soren_ladegaard
I will take your requests into consideration for future themes and updates, although I can’t promise anything!
I am always torn between creating a theme with drop down nav items, or a split navigation!

@Ed Brenner
Its probably about time Smile
Only joking, but glad you like the theme!

I have two questions:
– Is there an option to generally turn off the animation of the sidebar menu?
– Is there an issue with the headings on the “Extra Content” page? Seems the padding is lost somehow:
http://www.robbie-white.com/design/rapidweaver/falconpro/page6/page6.html

That lack of padding / overlap on that extra content area is actually deliberate, allowing things to be pixel perfect in ie6 and allowing users to have their content flush to the bottom of the menu… you can of course easily add padding to the area using custom css!

As for the sidebar menu animation if you left click on the theme in the theme drawer, view theme contents, and go into images, and delete the file called ‘submenuanimation.js’ it will kill the sidebar menu animation.
This is drastic but does the job, but there will be an update very soon with this as a styles variation option, as well as killing the load in animation, but keeping the hover animation!

Thanks for all the wonderful comments so far!

Mike, there is nothing wrong with speaking like me… believe me, its awesome!

Hi Robbie,

thanks for your answer. One thing I noticed in your answer as well as in one of your Falcon Pro screencasts: your are always saying “… if you left click in the theme drawer, view theme contents, and go into images ...” But that’s not quite right, since it’s exactly the opposite: your have to right click. Am I right? Wink

Best, Matthias
