cushy cms stacks and lightbox / slimbox / shadowbox
Posted: 26th November 2009 03:18 PM

Hi

I have been searching for an answer to this and not seen one, but apologies if its been covered elsewhere:

I am using the great Cushy CMS stacks by Joe Workman. What I would like to do is integrate a lightbox or slimbox / shadowbox effect with this, easily [!] so the client does not have to worry about any code etc when loading new images.

Using lightbox through Cushy is a bit of a workaround too and involves loading a thumbnail and larger image each time.

I have used RapidFlickr to get around this on other sights, but am hoping there may be a simple solution to this using stacks.

Any help most welcome!

Michael

Do you just want the customer to be able to customize the contents of a lightbox? What sort of lightbox are you looking at trying to use?

Joe, What I would like is to be able to use your cms image stacks to create a lightbox effect. Yes, the customer should just be able to change the image.. Have tried using a combo of yr lightbox stack and the CMS stack, but guess I am a littl out of my depth here.
Any help I’d be grateful.
As to what lightbox I am not that fussed: Lightbox, slim box, shadow box.

Its so the CMS pages can integrate style wise with other parts of the site.

Would you like the effect of my Lightbox Stack or do you just want a simple image lightbox?

While I have not tested the CMS stacks inside my Lightbox Stack, I cannot see why it would not work. Can you send me the file that you tried to do this?

As for using the CMS Image Stack with a generic image lightbox, you would have to either add your own lightbox code onto the page or use PlusKit’s auto-lightbox functionality.

On a side note, I am developing a completely new set of Image Stacks and a lightbox is one of the effects. I plan on adding full CMS support into these stacks so developers can allow their customers to change the images if they like.

Hi,
I like your lightbox effect, but either i’m dim [highly possible!] or it just seems quite a lot of work to construct a number of image pages that the client can edit as well. A simple lightbox that auto creates the lightbox effect is what I’m after I guess.

I will play around some more with this, and also will try out PlusKit, but my guess is your next image stack will answer my issue!  So thanks in advance.
Never that fast on puzzles, and daunted by the decreasing moves/speed of others , I’ll be happy to throw some ££ your way!

Thanks, Michael
