FAQ: “Beta has Expired” Error
Posted: 05th December 2009 09:47 PM

Hi Guys

Overnight a few folks saw an incorrect ‘Beta has Expired’ error. We’ve identified the issue, and re-issued Socialite 1.0.1 earlier today to fix this expiry problem. All you need to do is re-download and re-install Socialite from the link below, and the expiry issue will be resolved.

Download Socialite 1.0.1

We’re incredibly sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you, and look forward to bringing you more Socialite updates in the future.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Kind regards,

Nik

Hi Nik,

Thanks for the heads up! Btw, I noticed, that apart from fixing the bug you did some tweaks to the icon, especially in small sizes in this new build. Are there any other changes?

Hi Oleg

The icon change is the only other change to this build.

Thanks!

I have downloaded the supposed new build a few times, from different browsers, appzapped my old version, and I still get the beta has expired error. I checked the creation date of the app and it is still dec 2. Am I missing out on something here?

Hey Nick!

I’ve downloaded your supposedly new build a few times - via your email and this post - and they still give me the dreaded, “EventBox Beta Expired.” message. What gives? It’s rather annoying.

Hi guys, have you removed the old app before installing? It went fine for me…

Hey guys,
i´m using eventbox for about one year. yesterday, the “beta expired” bug showed me the first time, that eventbox is now socialite. didn´t recognize it before. no problem for me, if my single user licence would be working also for socialite. if not, i want to use eventbox as i bought it just one year ago. with the lincece key below socialite says “invalid”.
How can we fix this problem, so i can use, for what i´ve already payed? will there be a fixed eventbox without the “beta expired” bug or which socialite key should i use?
