New Theme: TWOTONE
Posted: 02nd June 2008 03:26 AM

I’d like to present my newest theme TWOTONE.
Actally the downloadfile contains two themes: TWOTONE-1 and TWOTONE-2 (+ 20 extra header images).

This is the Demosite.

Both themes are almost the same, but TWOTONE-1 has the Header and Slogan on the Transparent Header Background.

TWOTONE-2 has the Header and Slogan on the Content Image and the header background is a little bit smaller. You can use both themes in one website.
Both themes have two sidebars (the sidebar right uses the SideBar Header). There are a lot of widths and options to show or hide one or both sidebars.
As usual there are a lot of other Theme Variations.

The theme contains 8 different images but you can add 10 Custom Images. And there’s something else: on top of the themes you see a transparent image (Header backgrounds). You can choose between 20 different transparent Header Backgrounds, but you can make your own transparent image too with Photoshop or another image-editor that can handle png-images. The ReadMe and Tutorial files describes how to do this.

Both themes are made for RW 4.0 but are backwards compatible with RW 3.6 and above.

Awesome! Love your themes. Is there any way to adjust the height of the header image via CSS or something else? I know it’s not a variation.

Thanks all for your comments!

Yes it’s pssoble to adjust the height of the headerimage.

For TwoTone-1 paste this code in the Custom CSS:

#image {
    height130px;
}

(230px is default, 130 px is just an example).

For TwoTone-2 paste this code in the Custom CSS:

#image {
    height130px;
}

#picture {

margin-top130px;
}

#contentContainer #content {

padding-top155px;
]

I’m trying to work through some issues with the Two Tone themes.
These are great themes and I’m looking forward to working with them on my blog pages.

My questions are as follows…
Is there any way to remove the tiny header space at the top of the theme? My graphics carry all the information text for each page and that just ends up being wasted space on information that I’d really like to make flush with the top of page.

I also plan to make use of both sidebars but I can’t figure out how to break the information between each sidebar in the sidebar code. I also use Headliner 3 from RWT, but that code doesn’t work with your theme.

Many thanks for any help you can offer.

--( If you use both sidebars the content of each bar is split between 1. The headline of the sidebar and 2. The body text of the sidebar in the normal sidebar editor.

What do you mean by ‘the code of Headliner 3’ ? )--

Many thanks for any help you can offer.

PS. I agree with you - I think Henk’s Themes are some of the very best available.

I e-mailed Henk about this separately as well and he responded with the same advice tht you offered, so thanks for that. He also gave me the code to eliminate the header space as well.

Headliner 3 is an RWT theme that also has two sidebars, but uses code tags to separate the content. I’m still having problems with splitting the content because some of the information is formatted with HTML and the headline area of the sidebar has some issues with the code, jumping the content back to the left when it’s intended for the right column.

I’ve sent the code to Henk and hope that he has a solution.
Thanks for helping, BarryMac.

Great Mark,

All the best with porting over to the Henk’s Theme TwoTone. This is one of the great things about RapidWeaver, changing the complete look and layout of your site is so much easier than hand ‘coding’.

I’m sure you’ll soon find the solution to your sidebar move.

Regards,

BarryMac

Thanks Barry!

Mark, I’ve send you a mail. In the text in the sidebar is the code

<p>

It’s not allowed. When you remove it, it’s OK.

Best regards,
Henk
