RapidWeaver 3.4 is Leopard ready

RapidWeaver

SDKs

If you're interested in developing any type of Add-ons for RapidWeaver you've come to the right place.

If you’re a developer interested in the new open XML save-files used by RapidWeaver 4, please contact us for further information.

Plugin SDK: Cocoa

If you're proficient in Cocoa programming, and you own at least the Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) developer tools with Xcode, creating a RapidWeaver page type, or plugin as we call them, is easy. Download the RapidWeaver Plugin SDK.

More plugin examples and documentation can be found over at Realmac Forge. It's also home to a great number of RapidWeaver related open-source projects.

The RapidWeaver SDK is simple enough that you can build your first plugin in an afternoon with XCode, but it's powerful enough to do almost anything. I couldn't have built Blocks without it.

Theme SDK: XHTML/CSS

We've put together a theme tutorial to help you get started with editing RapidWeaver Themes. We've also included full documentation and a blank template theme so you can dive right in. Download the RapidWeaver Theme SDK.

The Theme SDK includes information on how to upgrade older themes to be compatible with RaidWeaver 3.6

There are no limits to what site layouts you can design and create with Rapidweaver's Theme SDK! From minimal to complex theme layouts, Rapidweaver's Theme SDK let's you do them all. It's made creating site design layouts fun again!

Theme Styles: XML

Theme Styles control the colour and layout of existing themes. Theme Styles can either be created inside RapidWeaver or created using an HTML editor as they are just simple XML files.

Browse the Add-ons page to see the ever expanding range of Theme Styles.

Snippets: XML

Snippets are small XML files that contain "snippets" of code, amazingly versatile and very simple to create. As with Theme Styles, you can either create them inside RapidWeaver or use an HTML editor to roll your own.

Browse the Add-ons page to see the ever expanding range of Snippets.
