Q Is there a demo to try?

A Yes! RapidWeaver can be downloaded from our website and run on your Mac for as long as you like. The only limitation of the demo is that you can create a maximum of three pages per site file. Other than the three page limit, the demo is fully functional.

Q What are the System Requirements for RapidWeaver?

A RapidWeaver 4: Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.2 or greater, 50 MB disk space.

RapidWeaver 3.6.x: Mac OS X 10.4.3 or Mac OS X 10.5.2 or greater, 50 MB disk space.

Please note: The RapidWeaver 4 file-format is not compatible with RapidWeaver 3.6.x or earlier. If you need to work on Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger and 10.5 we recommend using RapidWeaver 3.6.x

Q How can I buy RapidWeaver?

A RapidWeaver is currently sold through two channels: directly from the Realmac Software online store as an electronic purchase; or as a boxed product via selected resellers.

In our online store we accept the following payment methods:

Q If I buy RapidWeaver directly from the Realmac Software store, will I get a boxed copy?

A No. The Realmac Software store sells only electronic copies of RapidWeaver. When buying RapidWeaver online, you receive a serial number to unlock the 3-page limitation of the freely downloadable demo version.

Q I've lost my serial number. Help!

A If you've lost your serial number, then you should visit our online after-sales area to retrieve it. The service is fully automated and will re-send your serial number to the email address supplied on purchase.

If you cannot find your serial number via this method, then please try the following;

• If you bought RapidWeaver through a third-party site, such as MacUpdate, your serial number will be available in the after-sales areas for the 3rd-party site.
• If you bought RapidWeaver via our online store, and after having tried the automated service have not retrieved your serial number, please post a request in the forums and our support staff will be in touch.

Q How do I install RapidWeaver?

Firstly ensure you've downloaded RapidWeaver from the Realmac Software website. Alternatively, if you purchased a boxed copy insert your CD from your retail-box DVD to hand. After locating the downloaded file (rapidweaver4.dmg) in your Downloads folder (or in your Downloads 'stack'), double click the file to 'mount' the disk image: it will appear on your desktop and the content of the disk image will open in a new Finder window.

Drag the RapidWeaver icon (on the left) into your Applications folder. Then all you need to do is eject the disk image and delete the original download .dmg file from your download folder. Now that you've installed RapidWeaver, it's time to find RapidWeaver in your Applications folder and launch it.

Q How do I register RapidWeaver?

A After having bought RapidWeaver, simply launch the application and enter your serial number into the 'Register RapidWeaver' box that appears when running RapidWeaver in demonstration mode. Click 'Register' and RapidWeaver is now licensed.

Q When will I receive my RapidWeaver serial number?

A After your purchase has completed, you will be re-directed to a receipt page which will display your serial number (which starts RW3SN). This is your unique serial number that you should enter into RapidWeaver. You will also receive an automated email receipt, and we recommend you print a copy of it for your own records.

If you appear to have not received a receipt, firstly check your Spam folder. If it's still missing, you can retrieve your serial number from here.

Q I own an older version of RapidWeaver. Do I need to pay for an upgrade?

A RapidWeaver 4.0 is a free update for registered customers with a licence for RapidWeaver 3.6 (starting RW3SN).

If you own a serial number starting RWPL, then in order to use RapidWeaver 3.6 / 4.0 you will need to purchase an upgrade. If your serial number starts RW3SN then you are all set for versions 3.6 and 4.0 and do not need to purchase an upgrade.

Customers Who Bought RapidWeaver 3.5.1 from our online store after 1st April 2007

If you bought RapidWeaver 3.5.1 after 1st April 2007 via our online store (not via a promotion) you are eligible for a free upgrade to RapidWeaver 3.6. To claim your free upgrade, you do not need to visit the Realmac Store. Please contact us, supplying your full eSellerate Receipt for the original RapidWeaver purchase, and we will send over a shiny new serial number!

Customers who bought RapidWeaver before 1st April 2007

Whilst not eligible for a free upgrade, customers can choose to upgrade RapidWeaver for a discounted price of $30 (instead of the full licence price of $79), either via the built-in store in RapidWeaver or our online store.

Customers who received RapidWeaver 3.5.1 as part of a Promotion (e.g. MacZot, MacUpdate) after 31st March 2007

Whilst customers who received RapidWeaver as part of a promotion during the grace period (from 1st April 2007) are not eligible for a free upgrade, they can choose to upgrade to the latest version of RapidWeaver for $30 via our online store.

We also accept P.O's and Cheques for bulk educational or business orders.

Q Do you offer multi-user discounts?

A Yes. We offer customers a 'Family Pack' (5 licences) for $129 as well as discounts on bulk and educational site orders.

Q My serial number is not working

A If your serial number is not working, then please check the following:

• If you are registering RapidWeaver 3.6 or 4.0, your serial number must start RW3SN
• If the serial number is still not working, check that you are entering it correctly. When copying and pasting the serial number you may find you have an odd space either side of the serial number.
• If entering by hand, always check characters such as 5 and S are correct.
